Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010Once again I’m baffled how people manage to regularly update these blog things. I’m really bad at this. The editing suite has been super busy lately and I’m hard pressed to find an interesting topic to write about for now.
I’m hard at work editing the music video. This project is growing me as an editor as I get to use techniques I don’t normally get to do in documentary land. I’m busy roto-scoping and motion tracking and all kinds of fun stuff. I have lots of before/after stuff to share but I’m going to wait until after the video is released. Maybe it’s a superstitious thing but I never like to give away too much about a project right before it comes out. I like to leave some suspense, ya know? That’s all for now. Sorry this is boring.

Adding “the look”
Thursday, July 8th, 2010YAY YAY YAY! Beginning to add the beauty into the music video. I’ll be posting before and after pics for my (and possibly your) amusement over the next several weeks. I’m always a little appalled at how ugly raw video footage is. This particular location we shot at had a greenish tint. That makes for some super good times on my part as a editor. But I’m kinda diggin’ the fixed up version. After Effects rocks!
