Reading this makes me think I should reconsider my rule of no New Year's resolutions. I have such a hard time keeping them with a husband almost always gone and four kids that rule my life and time. I do like the way you stated your intentions for the new year, a much better way of putting it. I would also like to know how the dinner party thing turns out, after we move to El Paso and I have NO friends close by, I may have to start making some new friends that way. All my love back at ya babe!

I love this perspective! I've always found it difficult to make plans knowing that life is bound to throw me in an unexpected direction. Intentions are good. I can do intentions.
Keep me posted on how the dinner party thing goes. I have been meaning for a year and a half to invite all of my connecting neighbors over for dinner, or even just a little "happy hour" after work. So far, nothing. I think we all crave more interaction, but we're always waiting for someone else to make the first step. I know I'd rather let someone else do the organizing, but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Your fortune is great, too. Sometimes I love fortune cookie advice. I'm sure that would be true for anyone at any time. Maybe the housework thing is relatable to your fortune. Accept the inevitable existence of housework and you will feel better?
